About Us Main Page

Our Mission

Community Servings is a not-for-profit food and nutrition program providing services throughout Massachusetts to individuals and families living with critical and chronic illnesses. We give our clients, their dependent families, and caregivers appealing, nutritious meals, and send the message to those in greatest need that someone cares. Our goals are to help our clients maintain their health and dignity and preserve the integrity of their families through free, culturally appropriate, home-delivered meals, nutrition education, and other community programs.

Community Servings has been awarded a coveted four-star rating for our efficient and effective business model for providing nutrition services to the critically ill by Charity Navigator, America's premier independent charity evaluator.

Our Staff

Josephine Duarte
Delivery Driver/Assistant Delivery Coordinator
Josephine started riding the vans as a volunteer at Community Servings in 1997. She then moved her way up from temporary driver, to part-time driver, to full-time driver and, ultimately, to Assistant Delivery Coordinator. Despite traffic snarls, long delivery routes and walk-up apartment buildings, Josie takes time with her clients. She'll put the milk in the fridge, check in and stay a while to talk. She wants them to know that they can count on her as family.

Our Supporters

Ron Ansin
One of Massachusetts' most inspired philanthropists, Ron has supported every fundraiser we've ever hosted and gave the lead gifts to both our capital campaigns. But it is his wise counsel and friendship we treasure most.
