Saturday Delivery Volunteers deliver a week’s worth of frozen meals to our clients in Boston, Cambridge and Somerville. This is a particularly great opportunity for couples and families, and is one of the few Community Servings volunteer opportunities in which youth under the age of 13 can participate (when accompanied by an adult). Volunteer drivers on this project must be at least 18 years old, have a reliable vehicle of their own, and commit to at least one Saturday morning per month for at least 6 months. Participants meet at Community Servings at 9AM on their assigned Saturday, with most volunteers completing their deliveries by 11:30AM.

Van Volunteers assist our delivery staff from 11AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday, by riding along on our delivery routes throughout Greater Boston. You will assist drivers in prepping meal bags for each delivery stop and will ensure that our clients are receiving the proper type and number of each meal item. This is a great opportunity to interact with our clients on a one-on-one basis, and, like all Community Servings volunteer positions; it requires firm attention to our Client Confidentiality Agreement. You must be at least 16 years old.
