Community Servings welcomes student volunteers from Greater Boston and around the country. They all make a real difference in the lives of our 1,300 sick and hungry clients.
Local high school and college students lend a hand throughout the year by participating in one-time service projects or by adopting a shift -- committing to helping in our kitchen on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or quarterly basis.
From February through April, caring college students take part in Alternative Spring Break (ASB), a national movement that promotes service in communities in need. Each year, as many as six schools from across the country send students who spend up to a week with Community Servings, where they assist with meal preparation, packaging and delivery. Our staff also teaches students about our programs, the needs of the communities we serve, and how we achieve our mission.
Every student who walks through our doors is greeted by a friendly and fun staff and treated with dignity and respect.
