About Us

Telling our Story in a New Way

Our new agency video brings our work and who it helps directly to you, in a never-before seen way."

Our Mission

Community Servings is a not-for-profit food and nutrition program providing services throughout Massachusetts to individuals and families living with critical and chronic illnesses. We give our clients, their dependent families, and caregivers appealing, nutritious meals, and send the message to those in greatest need that someone cares. Our goals are to help our clients maintain their health and dignity and preserve the integrity of their families through free, culturally appropriate, home-delivered meals, nutrition education, and other community programs.

Our Board

Charles Roussel
Chair CEO at The College of American Pathologists and husband of a three - time cancer survivor. He is acutely aware of how difficult it is for anyone to sustain health in the face of a chronic disease. Prior to running the second largest medical association in the United States, for four years Charles ran the Disadvantaged Children and Youth program for Atlantic Philanthropies which brought extended day learning, preventative healthcare, and mentoring services to vulnerable children and their families. Charles brings a brilliant strategic mind and national healthcare perspective to our board.

Our Staff

Milford Jenkins
Expeditor An employee of Community Servings since 2003, Milford, otherwise known as The Great Chef, keeps volunteers busy and focused on the task at hand but smiling and laughing while they work. Milford is one of the primary reasons why volunteers look forward to returning to the Community Servings' kitchen.

Our Supporters

Barbara Jordan
An ingenious business woman and philanthropist, Barbara bought three of Princess Diana's evening gowns for her Newbury Street boutique and then leveraged them for local charities. Ours raised enough to buy our first building in Roxbury!
