Individual Volunteering

We rely on our volunteers.

As one of Boston’s largest volunteer programs, we welcome volunteers to prepare meals in our kitchen, deliver meals to our clients, and help with our fundraising efforts and special events.

In Our Kitchen

Help us peel, chop, and package meals for our clients. Volunteers must be 13+. If you’ve never volunteered in our kitchen before, please sign up for a New Volunteer Orientation & Kitchen Shift offered on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. Check the volunteer calendar for upcoming shifts.

Volunteers who have attended an orientation can sign up for volunteer shifts. Our shifts are held:
Monday – Friday
9am-12pm; 1-4pm; 4-6pm; 6-8pm

Saturdays
9am-12pm; 1-3:30pm

Saturday Meal Delivery

Deliver meals to our homebound clients. Volunteers must be 17+ with a driver’s license and own vehicle. Must attend an orientation and consent to a CORI.

Drivers are needed Saturdays from 9am-12pm. Must commit to one Saturday a month for six months.

We are not seeking Saturday Meal Delivery volunteers at this time.

Special Events

Volunteer for our signature fundraising events Pie in the Sky (fall) and LifeSavor (spring). Serve on our planning committees or sign up for specific event-related volunteer shifts. Stay informed of upcoming opportunities and sign up for our newsletter.
