On May 14, 2009, Community Servings was chosen from a pool of 180 applicants to be one of nine recipients of the The Smaller Business Association of New England's (SBANE's) New England Innovation Award. SBANE recognized our newly launched social enterprise and job training programs. By providing additional revenue and funding in the current economic climate, these programs are enabling us to maintain our current level of service to our critically ill clients.
Past SBANE award winners are well-known New England businesses, including Staples, Ben & Jerry's and Nantucket Nectars.
On June 8, 2009, which is Nonprofit Awareness Day, Governor Deval Patrick will present Community Servings with the Nonprofit Innovation Award from the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network, our state's trade association. Chosen from a field of over 100 nominees, Community Servings was recognized for our "innovative approach to programming as well as collaboration, staffing, volunteerism and operations."
To every Board member, volunteer and donor, Community Servings sends our heartfelt thanks. Your leadership, dedication and support have helped us to grow and serve our clients in ways we had never dreamed possible!
