.gif) | Tim Williams joined Community Servings with 35 years of culinary experience under his belt. After serving in the United States Army, Tim graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and went to work at a variety of restaurants including independent, hotel, resort and full service. For the past 11 years, Tim has been with Legal Sea Foods in Boston, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. where he has held positions as Chef, Culinary Project Manager and Regional Chef. Tim loves to travel and has lived all over the world including: Alaska, Russia, Republic of Georgia and Nantucket. He now resides in Jamaica Plain, MA. “When I heard about the mission of Community Servings and the opportunity to prepare nutritious, medically tailored meals for hundreds of needy residents, I knew it was the perfect fit,” said Williams. “I’ve been fortunate to have a wonderful experience this past decade at Legal Sea Foods and I’m looking forward to translating that skill and expertise to give back to my community.” One of Williams’ roles at Community Servings involves overseeing all kitchen operations including the preparation, cooking, packaging, handling and storage of 2,000 daily meals, ensuring our beautiful meals are appetizing and culturally appropriate, based on taste, visual observation and other sensory assessment. |
.jpg) | Zali Zalkind comes to Community Servings with a background in sustainable economic development and human rights and a passion for food justice. He has a Masters in Community Development and Planning from Clark University and has worked in a broad range of non-profit and social change organizations in his home state of Arizona as well as here in Massachusetts. A serial entrepreneur, he has always had his hands in food, food service, and sustainable agriculture. As Manager of Local Food Initiatives and Social Enterprise Zali oversees our CSA, Herb Garden, relationships with area farms, and runs the Sold Meals program, providing healthy and nutritous food to school children year round. |
 | Adam Seigal is a recent graduate of Suffolk University, where he received his M.Ed in Administration of Higher Education. He has spent the last 5 years working at various colleges and universities with a focus on civic engagement and service learning development. In 2009, Adam spent a year working as an AmeriCorp VISTA at the University of South Carolina Beaufort and was a proud recipient of the Vincent P. Mesaric Award given to a staff member who demonstrates a strong commitment to working with students outside the classroom by participating actively in student organizations and student-sponsored activities. Adam will be working to recruit groups and individuals to volunteer at Community Servings, and is thrilled to be part of the CS Family! |
