Welcome to TK EATS!

With TK Eats, Social Responsibility Tastes So Good.

TK Eats is a delicious, socially responsible alternative to take-out. The seasonally inspired menu features curated selections of scratch-made entrees, soups, sides, and freshly baked goods. TK Eats foods are prepared by the Teaching Kitchen, Community Servings’ foodservice job-training program for our neighbors in Boston. We make TK Eats meals by hand with whole ingredients and foods sourced from local food partners.

HOW IT WORKS

Review the week’s menu and buy your selection of entrees, soups, and sides online by midnight Mondays. Then pick them up Wednesday or Thursday, 9 to 5, at Community Servings’ Jamaica Plain HQ.

Meals are chilled for pickup. You can easily store or reheat them at home. TK Eats is not a medically tailored meal program. TK Eats meals do not serve critically and chronically ill clients of Community Servings.

ABOUT TEACHING KITCHEN

Teaching Kitchen trainees are people living in Greater Boston who are facing multiple significant barriers to employment. Our 12-week program provides instruction in foodservice production, professional skills, nutrition, and ServSafe certification. Upon graduation, 84% of trainees find a job and retain that job for at least 30 days.

TK Eats is a social enterprise that provides trainees hands-on business and hospitality experience. When you purchase TK Eats meals, you support curriculum enhancements for the Teaching Kitchen and the training wage that trainees receive while participating.

Since 2008, Teaching Kitchen has provided a structured and supportive place for trainees from diverse backgrounds and circumstances to develop the professional and life skills needed to be successful in the foodservice industry.
