In honor of Food Day, Community Servings' Executive Chef wants to teach you how to make beautiful, homemade pasta that's healthy, easy, and inexpensive to make.
This recipe, which Chef Conner has adapted from Lidia Bastianich, a best selling cook-book author, calls for equal portions of white, and whole wheat flour. White flour helps keep the pasta light, and easy to cook. While whole wheat flour, made from unprocessed grains, can provide long lasting energy, improve digestive health, and can lead to stronger bones and a healthy immune system. It's the best of both worlds!
Celebrate Food Day at our "Food as Medicine" Symposium!
At Community Servings we believe that nutritious foods, like wheat pasta, have a positive physical, psychological, and emotional impact on those with critical and chronic illnesses. For this reason we are advocating for the integration of medically appropriate foods into various healthcare models through our "Food as Medicine" Initiative
