Marketing Coordinator

This position reports to the Communications Manager, but works closely with the Chief Development Officer, Director of Development & Communications and the entire development team and other departments. The coordinator supports and executes all marketing initiatives, maintains our brand, clearly communicates the mission, is the storyteller through visuals, and creates visuals and content to engage our current and potential donors and volunteers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Website: Responsible for keeping the website current and updated while also maintaining content (e.g. copy, photos, graphics, etc.) on the agency’s website including special event microsites. Works with developer on troubleshooting and creating new functionality.

Email Marketing: Develop and manage agency’s e-communication calendar, including writing content, email design/layout, scheduling, list management and monthly analytics.

Collateral/Brand Management: Maintain all agency print collateral and marketing materials including managing print production. Responsible for design and layout, or manage collaboration with external graphic designer.

Special Events: Manage the marketing plan for all special events, including print production, e-communications, and graphic design of print or digital assets. For Pie in the Sky and LifeSavor, provides technical support for website.

Social Media Content Development: Support social media content generation, including graphic design of digital assets, photography, and video production.

Social Media Analytics: On a quarterly basis, provide summary to gauge our productivity.

Press: Compile agency and event press clippings for use on our website.

Qualifications:

• Graphic design experience and working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator

• Demonstrated quality of work, attention to detail, creativity, and consistency of work product quality which includes proofreading, grammar and spelling

• Excellent project management skills with the ability to multi-task and self-prioritize

• Ability to write in Community Servings’ voice/tone across a variety of platforms/vehicles

• Familiarity with spreadsheets and analyzing data

• Strong interpersonal skills and a good sense of humor

• Photography experience a plus

Education:

Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four-year college or university, ideally concentrating in marketing and communications, and/or an equivalent mix of education and experience.

 

Experience:

Three years working with email marketing software/services (like Constant Contact); maintaining website and implementation of new content or layout (wordpress); marketing through social networks sites; Graphic Design skills and experience with Adobe Creative Suite programs (Photoshop, InDesign).
