Cinnamon Apple Yogurt Parfait

About recipe

This easy apple yogurt parfait layers cinnamon-coated apples, Greek yogurt, applesauce, and crunchy granola for a breakfast that tastes like fall. Enjoy the apples fresh for a satisfying crunch, or cook them down for a warm, apple pie-inspired twist.

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 2 apples, diced into cubes
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup granola
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup applesauce

Preparation

  1. Add apples to a bowl and toss with honey, cinnamon, and salt. Optional: For a softer, apple-pie-inspired texture, cook the apples in a skillet over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened. Let cool slightly.
  2. Layer half the granola, yogurt, applesauce, and apples into two jars or glasses.
  3. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
  4. Sprinkle with extra cinnamon, if desired, and enjoy!
  5. Tip: If making ahead, toss the apples with 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice to help prevent browning.
