DETAILS

Each year, Community Servings bakes pie in house for Pie in the Sky.  This year we need your help to build boxes so we can safely package and transport our pies.

Please note that all volunteers will be provided a close fitting face mask that they are required to wear during their shift. The mask must be worn at all times, covering both the nose and mouth.

All volunteers must sanitize their hands, and take and record their temperature when entering our building. If you have a temperature of 100.3°F or more, you will be asked to return home. Before entering our kitchen, you’ll wash your hands, put on a hat or hairnet, apron, and protective gloves.

  • Been in contact with someone in the last two weeks who has or may have contracted COVID-19

Our Mission

Community Servings is a not-for-profit food and nutrition program providing services throughout Massachusetts to individuals and families living with critical and chronic illnesses. Our goals are to help our clients maintain their health and dignity and preserve the integrity of their families through culturally appropriate, home-delivered meals, nutrition education, and other community programs.  We rely on volunteer help to prepare and package 2,500 meals per day that are later delivered to our clients’ homes. Volunteers chop, peel, and process produce, seal meals, label meals by diets, portion soups, salads, and snacks, pack bags, and assemble meals in our commercial kitchen.
