Back to all opportunities

Wed, February 20, 5:45PM - 8:00PM

Maximum Volunteers: 5

Still needed: 0

DETAILS

Interested in volunteering? We rely on our volunteers to help us prepare 2,500 made-from-scratch meals each day. Volunteer tasks in the kitchen include: peeling and chopping vegetables, assisting with food preparation, packaging meals in containers, labeling meals and bags, and packaging clients’ weekly meal bags.

New volunteers must first attend an orientation and kitchen shift before signing up to volunteer independently. New Volunteer Orientation & Kitchen Shifts are held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening from 5:45 – 8:00pm. Volunteers will receive a short orientation and then spend about an hour and a half volunteering in our commercial kitchen.

**DOORS CLOSE at 6:00pm, so please arrive by 5:45pm.**

Note: Please wear long sleeves, long pants, and shoes that completely cover your feet (like sneakers).

The orientation is given in English, please bring a translator if needed.

If you are looking to schedule a volunteer experience for a group, please contact Volunteer Manager Nate Ross at .
