An event this spectacular doesn’t happen without a lot of amazing people working behind the scenes.
11:30am – 3:30pm
Join Community Servings staff and the LifeSavor Planning Committee and help us unload event items from the van into the event space. Volunteers will meet at The Langham, Boston, by 12:30pm, and begin to unload the vans and set up for the event.
Program & Gift Bag Assembly
1:00pm – 3:30pm
Help us assemble 900 programs and gift bags for the event attendees.
Registration, Program Book, & Gift Bag Distribution
4:30pm – 8:00pm
Set the tone for a fabulous evening by greeting & checking-in guests in and directing them to the reception and silent auction. You will either work in pairs to check guests in on an iPad, or hand out program books as guests arrive. Then at the end of the shift, you will help to hand out gift bags to guests on their way to the buses.
4:3pm – 8:00pm
Be a part of a team that thrives in an exciting fast-paced environment! This group encourages guests to purchase and pop a balloon, then receive a prize in exchange for their $50, $100, $150, or $250 contribution to Community Servings. Volunteers will help set up and run the Balloon Pop and help with clean up.
4:00pm – 8:00pm
If you are outgoing and can be a salesperson, this is the job for you! Silent Auction volunteers encourage, cajole, and entice attendees to reach deep into their wallets! You’ll be in charge of a section of auction items, and helping guests to sign up for mobile bidding, and placing bids on their behalf electronically via the bidding app. Volunteers stay until the cocktail party has concluded, and are responsible for packing up the display items and auction items at the end of the evening.
1:30pm – 4:30pm & 4:30pm – 9:00pm
Do you love working special events? We are looking for some outgoing individuals to assist us with various jobs throughout the event and to help where there are needs. You might join our Silent Auction or Balloon Pop teams, assist with event flow or help restock supplies.
7:30pm – 10:30pm
Chauffeur Community Servings’ staff from restaurant to restaurant as LifeSavor guests are having dinner. Knowledge of the city or GPS is a must. The volunteer driver waits outside the restaurants while we rush inside to thank them for being a part of the event. Stops will only be 5-10 minutes. Dinner will be provided.
4:30pm – 8:30pm
Calling all coat-checkers! We need people who can multi-task and work quickly for this assignment. If weather is mild, this shift is not as busy. If it rains, there are many more coats and umbrellas checked.
Trolley & Breakdown
6:30pm – 10:00pm
This assignment is fun for friends, partners, or colleagues to do together (although you do not need to have a partner to participate). You will assist and direct guests to the trolleys that shuttle them to LifeSavor restaurants, to ensure the smooth drop off of guests. Trolley volunteers should be outgoing, conversational, professional, and have a cell phone. Upon your return back to the hotel, we ask that you assist staff as they pack up items and load the truck at the end of the night.
