We rely on the generosity of individual volunteers and organized community groups to help our kitchen team prepare the nutritious food our clients need to improve and maintain their health.
We host 100+ volunteers daily across multiple shifts to make thousands of scratch-made, medically tailored meals. Three three-hour shifts are offered Monday through Friday, beginning at 9 am, 1 pm, and 4 pm.
Kitchen volunteers must be age 13+. All new volunteers receive an orientation from our team before the start of their shift. Required attire includes pants covering the ankles, long-sleeve shirts, and closed-toed shoes. Hairnets and aprons will be provided. (view our dress code flyer)

During a shift at our Distribution Center, volunteers supply operational support by sorting and stacking meals, adding dietary components like fresh fruit, yogurt, milk, and health snacks to packages, and organizing weekly meal deliveries according to diet type, route, delivery method, and date.
